Someone else mentioned Warlocks 1st night - this also happened that evening:
We were staying at that Holiday Inn right across from the coliseum. Some friends from Greensboro who couldn't stay for the second night (I think the 1st one was on a Sunday) were getting ready to head home around 1:00am after an hour or so of post show indulging. One turns the other and says "You're driving - ready to go?". The other replies "Sure - but let me drink a beer to sober up before we leave." In retrospect, someone maybe should not have been driving that night, but at the time I thought it was the funniest thing I had ever heard.
Oh to be young and invincible again.

When I moved east I learned that beer is really just 90% water, espcially noticable when dosed. Not enough alcohol to have any effect...so drink it liberally, you won't notice a thing until the next day when your head feels like swollen pumpkin...particulary problematic when there is a analytical chem exam in the am. I remember (don't ask me how) driving back roads from Providwence back to Danbury CT after a show. My bud Bill(the driver) and I were dosed and we polished off a case of Bud by the time we got half way home...luckily the grocery stores were opening by then so we could restock.

Youth is not always wasted on the young. But I did spend most of my youth wasted.

OK George Bernard Shaw - THAT is the quote of the month.
